Geeta Chpter 4 Stanzas 16 to 22

Lord Krishna continues :
"Even poets, the ones who are regarded as adepts in the use of language and meanings, have felt confused over the terms Karma, Akarma ( absence of Karma), and Vikarma (specific Karma). Therefore, I shall explain to you that Karma which will liberate you from the evil of life.
You must know Karma as well as Vikarma, and then you must also understand what is Akarma which is absence of Karma. The paths of Karma are indeed very deep.
The one who discerns absence of karma where all others see the presence of karma, and sees karma where others see its absence, is the wise among men. He is the one who accomplishes every mission by virtue of what he does.
The one who begins every mission without any desire and without any particular objective (such as achieving a specific goal) in mind. is the one whose karma is extinguished in the (divine) fire of knowledge. He experiences deep calm as his mind is never agitated since he has given up all concerns of the expected result from his action. He is always satisfied and independent. Even when led to action, he knows that he, the individual, may appear to be the agent of the action, but is not.
He is unaffected by the outcome of his efforts. He is one with the inner spirit, and his consciousness does not create delusions because it obeys the commands of the inner spirit which guides and controls him. He has given up all worldly acquisitions. He performs  those karmas which are essential for the maintenance of the body, and whatever he does in this detached manner, carries no blame for him.  He accepts whatever the providence has in store for him, He is beyond all dualities,  beyond jealousies and envy, success and failures. He looks upon all with equanimity.
